Part of my success online has been due to the fact that I made sure that all my websites were very targeted to niches that I knew were profitable and would make money for me. It is absolutely essential to your online success that you don’t waste any time targeting niches that won’t make you much money.
How do you find profitable niches?
It all comes down to “Keyword Research”
You need to find keywords that have sufficient searches per month to make sure that you can attract enough volume of traffic to your website to be able to make money from it. You also need to make sure that you target words that don’t have too much competition.

There are free tools that can help you in your Keyword Research,such as the Overture Keyword Tool, and by using these free tools you can do some of the analysis.
Many people will tell you that you have to go after “long Tail Keywords” with little competition, but won’t tell you how to do it.
